That part of day - A poem
Have you seen that part of day,
When light turns to grey,
When darkness prevails
And the moon sets her sails
Upon the sky,
Up high,
Shining down
Her crown
Of luminous glow,
To let you know
That you are not alone,
That your heart is not a stone,
That your fears
And your tears
Can cure your sorrow and sadness
And bring forth gladness
And you can slowly drift to sleep,
To keep
Watch on your dreams
Which have no seams,
No particular design,
No thread, course or fine,
No beginning or end,
With no need to defend
What they are,
Why they are
Because they happen to be
So that you can see
What it is you desire,
You aspire
And that you may
When night turns to day
Have the will
To fulfill
What has come to you,
That which you hold true,
That which gives you reason,
For life’s season,
To believe
What you wish to achieve
And with all your might,
All your fight,
Your dreams will come alive
And survive in the light of day
And not only when light turns to grey?
