Punctuation Lesson #1.

Hello everyone! My name is Anita, but you can call me Nita or Nini (Nee-Nee) if you like. I live in Gary Indiana or IN, some people call it  G.I. I’m fourteen years old, I use to go to private school form pre-school to 2nd grade but now I go to a performing arts school for art. When I grow up I’d like to become a fashion designer and open a store in New York. I love fashion and being creative.

I discovered I was a writer at an early age, about 1st grade. I had a big imagination and would tell all kinds of stories to my friends and teachers. I always had outstanding writing potential compared to my other classmates. My teachers always use to say “You’re a good writer but you need to work on your spelling and punctuation.” On a scale of one to ten my punctuation skills are a five.

My favorite genres to write about are fantasy and romance. I have a big imagination I‘m also really in to anime/manga (Japanese animation) which probably made my imagination even bigger. I love to watch and read about romance so I  know exactly what to say to make your emotions run wild. None of my friends know I like to write. I don’t think I’m going to tell them either I’m just going to wait till I get my first book published and surprise them.

I don’t really read much I only read girly books about high school, boys and fashion. I found this site because I was looking for a place to post my story “Galaxy Guardians.” I want to turn it into a published book in the future but I wanted to see if people would actually read it. I didn’t really give much thought to my handle. I just made it up on the spot it doesn’t mean anything I just thought it sounded cool. I’m only in two activities on this site New Horizons Academy and The Coffee Shop for the Fantasy Society. I hope this program will help me become a better writer in the future.
