For the So Bad It's Good Contest.
The candle light cast an incandescent glow over Arabella Hope Rainbow Montgomery IV as she wrote out her letter. Arabella was one of the most beautiful women in the world, with a tall, slender figure and long blonde hair and green eyes and pale skin. Her hand was aching over the agonising overuse of it, and she could scarcely keep her sparkling emerald orbs from shutting themselves to the world around her. Nevertheless, she knew deep down in her heart that she must keep on writing. For she needed Michael, her lover of two years, to receive it, and quickly. Every now and then, fresh tears would spring forth from her emerald orbs, spilling over the parchment. Arabella hoped that her handwriting would not be too difficult to read, for although in her slightly younger days she had practised writing many an hour, her turbulent emotions were getting the better of her, a fact no doubt exacerbated by the tears spilling out of her emerald orbs and her turbulent emotions. Finally, after an excruciating hour, she was done. Arabella cast her orbs over the slightly damp parchment, noticing the occasional illegibility of it, but still optimistic that Michael would be able to comprehend the urgency of the situation in which Arabella was describing to him over the written parchment that she wrote on. With an approving nod, Arabella got up and went to post the letter that she wrote.

A few days later Arabella's servant reported that a visitor had come expecting to see her. Upon opening the door, she realised that it was her lover, Michael, the one that she had sent the letter to a few days previously.

“Michael, my love, did you receive the letter that I had sent to you in days previous?” Arabella inquired. Judging by his red face, which was like a beetroot, except not as dark and certainly not as edible, (thought Arabella had not tried either and therefore had no basis for comparison) Arabella quite accurately guessed that he had.

“Arabella, my sweet, why ever must it be this way? Can not you see the depths of my unconditional love for thou?” Michael protested angrily.

“You fail to understand Michael, the situation in which I am in currently at the moment. For you see, my husband will be coming back from war any day now. This forbidden relationship must end, for if ever he finds out, he will be most unhappy.” Arabella snapped at him.

“But Arabella, I love you-” Michael began.

“Leave me, Michael! We cannot be together, though very part of my body wishes that it were not so!” Arabella interrupted calmly, turning away. She rapidly blinked back tears. Michael stood there for a moment, until he said.

“If that is what thou wishes, then it shall be so. But remember, if you change your mind, I am always here for you, Arabella my sweetheart of sweethearts.” Michael bowed and turned away, back into the freezing cold of the - 2° Celsius day. Arabella clutched her heart - not really her heart but the space in which she presumed her heart to be - and cried bitter tears of sadness, like a frog which had just been told it was dying of an extremely rare and incurable frog disease.
