One of twenty poems I wrote in 1984-1985 as a school project
Home is where the heart is,

  or so the people say;

But, on this planet, to me,

    my home is far away.

I left my home so long ago

  to save my princess dear;

But even though it's bad out there,

  still, it's worse down here.

It seems there was this war, see,

  and though I do regret;

To save my princess from the queen,

  in her place, I went.

Through time and space my body flew,

  and though I could not see;

On the Earth I did land,

  as a small baby.

And to this day (I'm glad to say),

  neither Earthling,

  nor living animal,

  no anyone

can see the real me.

Please, let me go home.
