The little A Go Go

    Let it be written that I am a fan of Lady Ga Ga.
    She sings like she should be in a Caberet.
    "Why sit alone in your room all day?" Liza Minnelli sings.

    Well, back in my youth I knew a Go Go girl.
    She reminds me of Lady Ga Ga. This girl could jump!
    And she could sing. I was smitten.

    Typically, she thought of me as a friend.
    I get that a lot. She liked athletic guys.
    A Go Go loved to party.

    Can you can guess where this is leading?
    She over dosed. By this time I was pretty numb.
    I've seen plenty of tragedy. There was a Mass said.

    Her father didn't show. Her mother looked very tired.
    A Go Go looked like she would jump up. She didn't.
    I thought about her dancing. She was always chatty.

    But, she just couldn't live slow.
    I hope Lady Ga Ga doesn't burn out like that.
    She is such a sugar plumb. What is she 20?

    I like sitting alone in my room all day.
    I like living slow.
    I like taking my time. It's fun.
                                                  ~~~
                                                    <^>
    " And the words of the prophet are written on subway wall."
    Do I need to say who said that?
    Lady Ga Ga slow down.
