A man with a gun makes a daring decision to rob a shop of its money
A blood moon in wake as a city sleeps below,
a man with a gun is looking for some steam to blow,
a light in the distance like a sign from above,
circling ahead is a white-tailed dove.

No spectators in sight so the time is just right,
for this man to unwind and begin a bloodthirsty plight,
the sign says enter, so he walks through the door,
takes out his gun as the cashier opens the drawer,
'give me your money' said the man with the gun,
holding it high as his nose starts to run.

Blood trickles down his clean shaven face,
he looks in the window to see a total disgrace,
money in one hand, and gun in the other,
he whispers out loud 'no I'm not my brother'

He walked out the door and was startled to find,
the police were all waiting for this man to unwind,
'put your hands in the air, your troubles are done'
said the police officer to the man with the gun.

Blue lights are flashing so he lays on the ground,
his fate has been sealed like his hands are now bound,
people are staring as he cries out in pain,
the heavens have opened, it started to rain.

What happened to that boy that used to play and have fun,
he turned into a man...The man with the gun.
