So many things can happen
Things that cause a whooping cheer
Or things that make a mother tear

A person dies, no one cares who
Being stubborn, mean and shrewd
A young girl could say things untrue
Causing friends to fight and feud

Love connects
And war ensues
Big money checks
And a lit bomb fuse

Between one silence
And another
A liar’s pretense
A nervous mother

A poor girl could have hit the jackpot
Saving family from disaster
