Love poetry relationship existential personal poetry
i did my time
i said my prayers
but the sweet sweet rays
of our sun betrayed
such rare tears
it squeezed away
so silly & foolish
the childish cruelty
to kneel at the altar
of all small things
could someone smile
as sharp as a knife?
and deliver not sorrow
to my lonesome night
could one hold a heart
its softness & trust?
could one hold back a love
because it hurt too much?
