A man trying to Understand a Woman's Tears and her growing Silence
Midnight Blues

The journeying rays over distant horizon
Incessantly pursue the macabre night
Dark of the night now misty with tears shed
Over the lounging cliffs and glowing river bed

On a night like this, you can lie to me,
You are happy with the tide’s ebb
And never expect me to understand
The vacant space into which your tears flow

Yet can the murmur of the filled spaces
drown the beat of your pendulum heart
can it hide that fearful fear, which lingers on
in the midst of dark alleys, under the veil of the night

I am devoid of such emotions
That strangle the caged bird
Yet I witness the flutter of its wings
A Life, its willing to disregard

The comfort of caged walls
The euphoria of winding time
Or, the freedom of green woods & frothing streams
The snow peaked mountains & golden fields.

What do you want me to believe in?
