A story of teen Jewish girl, in Germany during WWII.
I felt the dampness of the ground on my feet, the mud oozing through my toes with each leap i took, shoving branches out of my way as quickly as possible, dodging the thorns and roots. My breath getting heavier and heavier, heart pounding. As i picked up speed i could feel my violet hair ribbon untie from my dark brown hair, and flying off in the wind. My clothes hugged to my body from all of the rain hitting me. My face black with smut. I could see it, my house...just a few more yeards. But i could hear them behind me, their harsh, strict orders. I wouldn't stop. Not till i made it home. The barks of the police dogs made me run even harder id say. And in that moment feeling so powerful i ripped the yellow star from dressed throwing it behind me..never to be looked at again. My Jewish pride instilled in me since birth, Hitler can take me out of the world, but he can't take who i am.
