Time travel would be pretty awesome right now.
Chip by chip.
Piece by piece.
I built up defenses.
Strong enough to protect me, from myself.

Experience has aged me far
beyond my God given years.
My heart is filled with regret
as my mind tries to purge it's memory.

My stomach is sick,
and my bones are cold.
Chills run races down my spine,
my arms long for you to fill them.

My eyes long to see you,
my lips need your tender touch.
My hair yearns for fingers entangled,
allowing me peaceful rest.

My lungs sigh as my heart aches.
It's wounded and barely breathing.
My body is turning cold from misery,
aaiting for you to breathe life into me again.

The way things used to be before our service called.
The pen quivers as my eyes shimmer with hot pain.
Loneliness overcomes me.
Breathing deeply as I whisper...

"I need you.
I miss you.
I love you."
Just the way it used to be.
