Death of an Angel

Her weeping eyes mean nothing here.
Her soul anguished and hollowed throughout.
Stand and fight for what?" she mutters.
A futile attempt, no doubt.

Bloody tears smear her face,
Their blood kisses her sword.
Screams filling the air,
They breathe a last breath,
Then breathe no more.

Her savior, her Angel still alive.
She runs to him now,
In horror, he blazes before her eyes.
Dying to reach his burning body,
She cries out, he falls for the first and last time.

Her beloved Angel, no more.

But now, too late to die.
She will live forever, alone.
Wishing for death.
Vengeful tears fill her eyes.
