Poem about Truth and how it is not always perfect
Memory is far from kind
To those who choose to look behind.
When the seeker looks for truth
It’s tainted, twisted beyond youth.

Details lost and degraded.
Feelings then accentuated.
Others’ thoughts have berated.
Experience and time faded.

Through Point-of-View’s lens we see
Warped pictures of what used to be.
Propaganda’s sight is worst
Enemies become our great curse.

Written word we hope will keep
Truth indelibly running deep.
Teaching children in our stead.
Lessons of truth from honored dead.

Write your thoughts before they flee
And disappear in memory.
Place your truth so they will find
Your soul, your heart, and your mind.
