It is the first one I have written since I was a child going through abuse.
This is my cross you see

It's the one he gave to me

For my life and love are free

It will stay with me

I will carry it everywhere

For things I've lived through are there

I thank him for it every day

As I take it on my way

Living, loving, giving more

Than I ever thought before

He carried his all the way

To his death that fateful day

He could carry his so well

For that I won't dwell
