A poem of the human spirit.
Humans,
we simple lot,
have always aimed for the stars.
We dream of heavenly connections,
inspired by an adoration of advancing our reach.

But,
along the way,
some have run into a wall
and smashed themselves to pieces;
a supernova of perseverance and understanding.

From their end
has the future come,
a new path headed for another wall
where we will stumble for the millionth time,
and reconstruct our view of the world for the billionth.

Do not despair,
for this is not the story of one.
We cannot afford to let tragedy root us,
not when we can look back at every single sacrafice
and see that they were designed to pave our way to today.

It is nature,
it is our nature,
and we cannot ignore the truth
that no matter how hard we have tried
there is no gain without having first lost.
