A Mirrored Refrain poem about a husband fed up with his wife's lifestyle.
Eight years gone to the wayside.
Since we met, I've been losing you.
Have you ever cared for me?
Does this really shock you?

You refused to hear my voice;
every day I would beg and plea.
Does this really shock you?
Have you ever cared for me?

Our children have seen enough
Their mama listless, lips cold blue.
Have you ever cared for me?
Does this really shock you?

I'm through with the empty promises.
Now, I'm here with the decree.
Does this really shock you?
Have you ever cared for me?

I've tried so hard to make you clean.
But now, this is what I have to do.
Have you ever cared for me?
Does this really shock you?

Go your way, leave us at peace.
The children and I are now set free.
Does this really shock you?
Have you ever cared for me?

No more lies, no more deception.
You and I are forever through.
Have you ever cared for me?
Does this really shock you?
