Personal emotions expressed as my beloved mum is being taken by cancer
Mother oh my flesh and blood
My creator, my being, my friend, my life
I look into your soul and I feel your pain
You look back at me with those watering eyes of confusion
You look right through me
You no longer are
Being taken away from me
Dust in the wind
Slowly deteriorating
Your colour is draining, your mind fading
Hands of ice clasping onto mine
Reassurance of what can never be
As Squamous cells eat you alive
Tears falling in our own time
Never shared but heard
Deep in thought, loss of concentration
Sadness sneaks upon me in the night
Purple ribbon in my hair
Will 40 be your last?
May miracles swarm around you
You can’t leave, not yet...
Pleads are made, wishes are blown
Friendship and love surround me
Smiles grow but fade to black
My heart Crushing, Pounding, Bleeding
Days and weeks will pass
Time will stop
To go on I will try
