The dance that I had at my middle school and who I spent it with.
The bright lights are flashing colorfully on and off.
They jump to the walls of the crowded gym,
Transforming it into a dance floor.
The sounds of voices ring out all around me,
As the music beats louder then before.
The loud song is making the bleachers shake to their rhythm.
Kids all my age never tried to act this old when they dance,
Everyone is running around, chasing, looking and trying to get away.
People gather around the snack bar crowding it in a mob,
Half of them are just begging for a dollar.

Though despite the bright flashing colorful lights,
All I can see is blue eyes.
Despite the loud voices and sounds,
All I can hear is one deep voice.
Despite all the crazy children running around,
The only name I know is yours.
Despite the shaky bleachers,
All I can feel is your arm around me.
Now that you've finished your question,
As dazed as I am I can only answer with,
"I don't know."
