poem bout a guy who never told the girl how he really felt
Love Like That

Do you remember walking around?

On the play ground

Watching the little boy alone in the sand

And we laughed at her and him

But now I want us to love like them

Cause they had a love that was fearless

Their love was painless

They weren’t even caring

That we were staring

The lonely little boy

Had what I wanted, real love and real joy.

How about the young too

Not knowing what to do

Cause they were just married

And there was no money in that pink purse she carried

The ones with the baby on the way

The ones who lie at night and pray

To the God above

Those five months of love

Will be enough

To get them through times this tough

You could look them in the eye

And tell that young couple had love enough to try.

Think about, at the movies in the front row

The couple that got married so long ago

Their love has been tested

And it out bested

Any challenge in front of them

There is a special love between her and him

It’s a love that last

And stays as strong as it was in the past

Once in awhile this love causes tearful eyes

But this love it never dies

When your love is with your best friend

I guess that’s the love with no end

I guess I should have told you

But I never really knew how

So baby that’s how I want to love you

And I’m telling you now.
