A couple finally admits their love for each other
As the hot summer sun began to set over the water, she could see her reflection in the gentle, rippling waves of the lake. She sat with her legs hanging over the edge of the pier as music was playing softly. Her skin was still warm from the many days of sun tanning. She began to hear his light footsteps as he approached her. He ran his finger through her long, cascading hair, sending chills down her spine. As he sat down next to her, their hands intertwined like the lace on a dress, they gazed at the full moon shining bright over the water. The world seemed so perfect and pure. A warm breeze engulfed them with the smell of coconut tanning oil and sweet honeysuckles. This was the last night they would be able to spend together on the lake so they cherished every moment. Every time they looked into each others eyes, the memories from that summer played before them like movies. A million words had been said even though neither of them made a sound. As their time together came to an end, he gazed lovingly into her eyes and said the three words she had waited for all summer, “I love you”.
