My reason was spent My emotion was broiling My heart died And I was reborn
The candle flickered from the gentle breath of her words
As she cast her ancient spell
Like a gossamer dancing over the flame
Until the candle cried its last spark and died in a wisps of gray
Her hazy blue eyes watched the funeral pyre with delight
As her lips pulled into a tight smirk
She relished in what had been done
With those three simple words
