For my deceased grandfather.
In the forest maze, I wandered alone,
Terrified inside of this foreign wild.
Crawling through doubt as a hopeless small child,
'Twas then I found a miracle unknown.
It was a tree, but a tree carved from stone.
Where did it emerge from? Who had it styled?
So happy in its place, but never smiled.
I now climbed happily, no longer alone,
To the very top, all around was truth.
Viewing madness and beauty from above,
Fear of the forest was lifted from that throne.
I returned to the spot years after youth.
Only his stump remained, but so did the love.
The King of The Wood never was made of stone.
