The week began in clouded splendor,
With black asphalt glistening in dawns light,
The sun peeked out from charcoal grandeur,
The week began in clouded splendor,
To a change in plans I surrender,
As I watch, raindrops reflect beauty’s might,
The week began in clouded splendor,
With black asphalt glistening in dawns light.
