I wrote this poem when I was 15 years old. It was also the first poem I've had published.
The sky is filled with stars

But they are slowly being stolen by thieving hands

And imprisoned behind steel bars.

But the law stands:

Forever to look at

But never to touch.

We run wild and free in a dreary world

We carry with us timeless treasures

And sinful pleasures

But we are captured in demon vines

My kind are captured, we are imprisoned.

We are used

Our wings are clipped

We are abused

Demons ravish us and leave us with scars

Forever to look at

But never to touch

I’ve been running

I have been used

I have been fighting

I have been abused

I am scarred

I am damaged.

I am…

Forever to look

But never to touch.
