This is a prologue to a prequel to Graves I will post chapter by chapter once a week.
I hope that you are very much into ghost stories and the supernatural as I am. I would like to inform you that the ghost story is unlike no other. It takes place in a town locked away from the rest of the world by religious and superstitious paranoia. The town is composed of residents whose lives were forever changed the day that the mischievous old man in black came to our world. The events that unfolded from his death are the consequence of underestimating the power of fear. The people of Harmon Cove live in a state of irregularity. Children are locked away at night and prayers are said every hour of the day. Anything associated with the outside world is destroyed for the fear of having to relive the murders of Jeremiah Graves. He is like a spectre but not a ghost. He has the powers of a demon but no child is protected by the prayers of the parents. He is hellbent on collecting the souls of the innocent children for the suffering he has endured in the afterlife. Coming into town is a father and son. Aaron Gardner and James Gardner, an 8 year old with psychic abilities, are moving in after a hard life in the city. They are moving into the birthplace and mortuary of a once famous Mortician who was accused of witch craft and dealings with the devil. 669 Timmons Lane is the exact location. The house lies just beyond the woods that no one dares enter. The house was built by Graves himself. After his wife disappeared the town folks accused Jeremiah Graves of murder and stripped him of his daughter. His daughter suddenly died of a mysterious illness and Graves enraged began to lure the children of the town into his old victorian house where the children went was anybody's guess. Soon the town decided they had enough of his antics and went after Graves. Their intent was to capture and sink his corpse to the bottom of the ocean just behind his house so that he would never return. After everything took place the search for the children took place but none of the bodies were ever recovered. What they started to notice was that the rest of the children were having night terrors that were then followed by unexplained deaths. Suicides and murders committed by dolls became common. The town to this day is still haunted by murders any time a child dreams or sees Jeremiah Graves. Are you intrigued continue reading the accounts of this tortured town? Are you prepared to read the ghost story of Jeremiah Graves?
