A little girl is trying to escape from two men.
The five year old girl fell to her knees as she tried to catch her breath. She had been running bare foot and in her nightgown through the snowy forest, trying to hide from the two men that had killed her parents. She only managed to escape from the house because she was woken up by the gun fire that had killed them and crawled out the window.
She leaned against a nearby tree and in the distance, she could hear them yelling for her to come out. As she sat there, the voices were getting louder. She was breathing better now so she stood up and began to run again. Her feet felt like they were on fire from the frost bitten snow and she knew that they could track the footprint that she was making. She tripped and managed to twist her ankle on a raised root. She started to panic now, all while trying to hold back the pain with tears in the corner of her eyes. She tried to crawl but to avail. She ended up just lying there, watching her breath come out in short puffs. The voices were louder than they had been before. Tears were now streaming down her face as they got even louder.
She tried to keep quiet as they came closer but her sobs betrayed her. They found her and started making cruel jokes about where she was going. Her eyes were blurring from all the tears but it wouldn't matter since she couldn't see their faces past their flashlights.
They aimed the gun at her head and pulled the trigger. They left her body there to rot as the snow slowly covered her body like it was burying her in her grave.
