Funny true story.
While working as a Paramedic in Buffalo,N.Y. My Partner and I received a call to respond to a residence for a welfare check. A medical alarm had been triggered, in route dispatch informed us that a elderly Woman lived alone at the residence and had supplied the Fire Department with a key for emergencies and they were also responding. We arrived at the residence and knocked on the door there was no answer. A Cat appeared in the window and was peering out at us, my partner continued to knock and began shouting Hello! We then heard a faint Hello! in response this was repeated several times. The Fire Department arrived with the key, and we entered the residence and after searching we found nobody there. We did find the medical alarm on the nightstand in the bedroom and surmised that the Cat had stepped on the alarm setting it off. The voice responding to our calls was the Ladies Parrot.
