Flashing awake not only in dream, a choice? Not mine, so I fight it.
Lost in the past, so it would seem,
constantly my logic fights it.

Against my will, if you know what I mean,
these images were never invited.

Flashing awake not only in dream.
A choice? Not mine, so I fight it.

The battle, it frustrates, so I scream.
Crippling and cruel, mind divided.

There is hope. A glimmer, a gleam.
A way to see happy, I know cause I tried it.

I shout shut up, really loud really mean.
My tangled rope with the knot, I untied it.

Excepting now, and all in between.
Joy and sadness are now invited.
