Nodding off under a towering oak tree
Nodding off under the towering oak tree
Just thinking about how it ought to be

I scan the meadows of my mind
To help me relax and help me unwind

In my mind I come across
Old memories that I thought were lost

I remember the ocean with her passion and ways
She is a woman, her emotion never stays

Atop a hill sits a decaying old hut
The doors off its hinges and won’t even shut

I see a missile soar across the sky
A shooting star begins to die

And showers cascade off my window pane
With tricking fingers, it morphs into rain

Bursting laughs that are full of joy
In the form of smiles, with a silly toy

I now have the life I’ve led
In the memories that fill my head
