What is there to say?
Words led to silence.
Silence led to waiting.
Waiting led to further silence,
and so the circle was complete.

Where once there was
a field of words
growing like beautiful flowers,
everything has gone,
the field is dead,
the ground salted and burned.

The last words;
were they right or wrong?
If they were right,
why are they gone,
and why did none follow after?

Are there right words left
that can seed the dead field
and make it grow again?

Words must be said,
but if there are no words
that can fix what was broken,
if there are no right words,
if all that is left
of words we can say
are those that will hurt,
how then, can I willingly say them?
