COMING TO TERMS WITH LOST LOVE

She wrote me a letter, I was surprised.
for she was the last thing on my mind.
i'm not sure why i read it, curiosity i suppose,
After all her words in anger
this letter is just more of the same.
She is funny that way, no mistakes, she is never wrong,
l guess she likes it that way.

She wrote me a letter, i was surprised,
she is the last thing on my mind
She wrote how much she loved me,
she said she alway would,
For she was oh so sorry,
about the things that she had said.

She didn't know why, she couldn't explain
a mystery i guess.
For she was never wrong,
and i was supposed to like it that way.
She wrote me the letter, i'm not sure why,
maybe life is tough, she was not to blame

I read the letter,it made me think.
how hard it is to swallow pride
admit she might be wrong.
Pride comes before the fall they say,
in time her words regret.

She wrote me the letter, i'm quite surprised
she's sorry for acting that way.
I feel a little hollow, a chill my heart does feel,
to hear her sing love's sweet song
when she will never, ever be wrong.
