REFLECTIONS OF WAR

Sometimes I see a door,
a portal to the past,
another time another place.
Death pungent smell fills my senses.
Heaped one on top the other,
like logs,lifeless,tagged logs
I see thier eyes open,
deaths stare, no tears fill my eyes,
devoid of feelig, compasion fled.
Time passes, memories fade
Tears flow, perhaps to cleanse my soul.
Sometime I see a door, a portal to the past,
another time another place.
So far away, so very, very far away.
