Description of a winter morning.








                                  Wonderful is the winter breeze

                                  That brings fragrance of Sewali phool*

                                  Wishes you morning in your red ear

                                  A shiver that complements a cup of tea

                                  Rays of the sun that warm you up

                                  While you peruse the morning news

                                  On the porch steps that is as cold as ice.



                                  Footnote-Sewali is a plant found in Assam which is laden with white

                                                fragrant flowers in winter...Phool is flower in Assamese.
