Sad short story
"Hey beautiful, I have something I need to say." He looked up at his girlfriend very nervously.
"Well spit it out sweetheart." Smiling at him after she spoke.
"No, it's okay I can wait till tomorrow to ask you." He said with a smile.
"Well okay." She said being slightly bewildered.

The quietness of the cool winter morning was broken by the squealing of tires as a truck pealed into the hospital parking lot. The door of the truck swung open and a young man ran out towards the door. He ran inside and slid to the front desk.
         "Where is Amber!" he yelled
"Sir calm down please and are you related to her?" she asked
         "No I'm not." he answered
"Well you will have to wait here then sir." she replied softly.
"I don't have time to wait. She is dying and I'm not gonna sit here and wait." he yelled as he stormed off towards another door.
He ran through door after door looking for his girlfriend. He noticed her mom and dad as he ran past a waiting room. He stopped as quickly and went back to the room.
"Where is she?" he said as he looked at them
"Follow me" her mom replied while tears ran down her cheek
He followed her to the room that she was in and he stopped at the door way stunned. Looking at the bed, he saw the girl of his dreams laying lifelessly on the bed. Amber's mom pulled him closer and told him that she was only expected to live a few more hours. He slid himself down into a chair beside her as his eyes continued to be locked on her. Tears slowly began to run down his cheeks as his hand reached out for hers. Memories invaded his memory and his face sunk onto her bed as the tears start to flood from his eyes. He kept whispering that he loved her so much as much as he could but then something shattered his memories in an instant. The long continuous beat that was heard only by him until the doctors started to rush in. He was pushed to the side and the doctors tried to bring her back to life but it failed over and over.
