A brief message I wrote to my 17 year old daughter after a hard day for her
Just remember, all those who take issue with you for no other reason, than those that they either create in their own minds or to follow the creations of those who they think are superior to themselves. They only reveal to everyone else just how insiginificant they feel about their own accomplishments.

The rest of them hate you because you remind them, that the best of their years are behind them and you haven't even begun to experience the best of yours.

Some flowers bloom early and tower over the vines that have yet to bloom. Their blossoms are bright and beautiful because they stand alone in their beauty. However, the blossoms that bloom the earliest do so by feeding off of the small vines around them only to wilt and fade quickly as the most brilliant and fantastic blooms to come, begin to utilize their own abundance. The earliest of those blooms continue to wither never to bloom again, while the few who persevered, fueled by what was always within them are known to bloom repeatedly over and over again, each time only to bloom for longer periods and each bloom more magnifiscent than any previous bloom.

I thought about all you have had to endure in the last 17 years, from your own family, your interchanging friendships and the endless assault on you by your enemies, young and old and I suddenly decided to write this for you because, I can already see the world around you, beginning to see just the tip of what your true potential really is.
I may be a pretty poor example of the perfect Dad, but I do know that regardless of how many ways I may have failed you as a dad or the countless ways your friends may have failed you, noone is gonna keep you from proving to the world just exactly what you are capable of, or how far you are gonna go.
I love you sweetheart, and I can't wait to see how you overcome everything and everyone who knew, what you were capable of and tried to squash it.
