Wishing her future love was with her on a cool, fall day.
The autumn sunlight stirred me this morning.
I lay in bed wrapped in warm sheets
Wishing you were here with me.

Sipping my coffee, watching the news,
I felt something missing—a void.
If only you were here with me.

I curled up on the loveseat in a blanket
But there was no love beside me.
I desperately need you here with me.

Taking a walk in the cool Fall air,
Your arm wrapped around my waist.
You should be here with me.

But instead I sit here dreaming
Of the day I see your face
And know you’ll be here with me.

I long to touch your cheek and
Love your heart and soul.
Quickly be here with me.

Lord, hasten him to my side.
And until that sweet day,
Jesus will be here with me.
