Forget again
Dare not remember
My one true friend
The power of your mind
Once weakened by time
Narcosis defined
No longer is that the case
An increasingly elevated state
Finds you questioning fate
The will of my ways
Each and every day you faced
Unknowingly you use to play
Such a dangerous game
Upon your soul
All of my weight
Every damn ounce
Of who I really am
And what I’ve done
Someone recently
Came between you and I
Setting a fire in your head
Allowing you think
If just for a moment, what if
Allowing you to question
What we seemingly shared
The balance of our symbiotic existence
They are now gone
Wiped clean from the earth
Buried in some ditch
An unmarked hell hole
For all time to come and go
But that idea, the one they ignited
Remains like a splinter in your mind
Removing it could possibly kill you
Leaving it as is
Will certainly lead to my doom
What should I do
Is becoming easier to decide
Forget again
Is all that I can be said
Lack of remembrance
Is all that will help you
The further you go into your mind
The farther apart becomes our divide
Sooner or later you will be too aware
Too certain like I am becoming
Forget again and save yourself
The end…
