Thoughts of her future love, wondering if he exists or if she will be alone...
Where are you this Christmas?

Are you celebrating with your loved ones
Or working days and nights?
Do you revel in the lights and parties
Or wait for the normal of January?

My concerts and parties are almost done,
The droll days of the new year coming on,
While my friends just begin their family fun.
I will try to dream of better days.

People say there are things that I could do
To take my mind off the quiet December,
But there still remains my thoughts of you
And wonder of what may be.

Will we frequent parades and concerts
Or just be in our church Christmas play?
Hot chocolate and “White Christmas” or
Popcorn and “Christmas Vacation?”

Hoping that one day I’ll watch a Hallmark movie
And not laugh at the fairytale they seem to be,
I can’t help but wonder if these thoughts I have
Will forever be a fairytale for me.

So for now I’ll await January’s routine
And find comfort in the busy of doing.
If only I knew whether you were real…
Or if I should learn to numb the truth.
