Every day
Any way
Impossible for some
Not for me
These words
Are my blood
The letting begins
From the first line
To the very end
Closer to meaning
I somehow often come
The function of my cause
The purpose of my life
The blank page
My one true god
I believe in nothing
Except what it screams
In my head images form
They tell a tale
Like a polaroid
To be cataloged
One day or a hundred
Could go by and I
Could remember
What was seen
And what was expressed
Ten thousand poems
And I still have
Everything left to say
I will never tire
Of the pen and the page
As my heart beats
My life finds what it needs
Closer to meaning
Is my hope that
All of us will become
I am just a man
Under the same sun
Inside the same prison
Mortality will end what my
Expressions will endure
This is not about fame
This is not about an audience
This is about something deeper
A universal understanding
What its mean to be not only me
But every other human being
Closer to meaning
Deeper in a puddle of understanding
Drowning for some is swimming for me
I’m not afraid, nor will I ever be
Upon the page will spill
All that I have come to know
And much of what I don’t…
