People hold on to love when at times they should let go
His love is cruel.
His love his cold.
His love is distant,
Yet I still hold on.

I need him to love me.
I need him to care.
I need him to know me,
I need him here.

I want to let go.
I want to move on.
I want to be free,
But my grip stays strong.

Is it for my ego,
Is it for my dream,
Is it because I love him,
that I can't let go?

I'm a gambler with my love,
Giving it away freely.
Hoping that by some chance,
He will hold on too.
