I really enjoyed reading this poem. Sometimes you find that when poets limit themselves to a certain rhyme scheme or style of poetry, they end up losing the message they they were trying to put across. You, however, managed to rise above the limitations. This poem definitely yields its readers to think. The last stanza speaks to me, personally, most. It foretells an impending "revenge" of Mother Nature. All in all I think this poem was incredibly well written and has a great message to tell.
Wow, I really enjoyed reading this poem. I love not only that it has so much imagery and emotion seeping through it, but also that it gives readers something to think about. There were times when I was confused on whether you were referring to actual rain or tears, but then I continued reading and your last stanza summed everything up so beautifully. You are very creative. Ugh, I can't even begin to describe how much I love this poem. And I just love how the poem is the thoughts/life of one person, then the last stanza says how it is ALL one picture as in every single person has their own stories such as the one told here, "each with its own small tale to tell." This is incredible! My only my only suggestion is to add an "e" at the end of ther so that it is actually a word, and this poem would be perfect, well as close to perfect as possible, in my opinion.
Ps: I'm curious as to what inspired this poem. Was it raining one day and you figured you'd tie the rain drops to being the tears of a person?.
I really love this poem, and I can relate to the message you are portraying. I love history, without knowledge of it we wouldn't know how to avoid its reappearance. I have a friend who just doesn't understand the importance of having knowledge of the past, and it drives me insane. This is a great poem, and is painstakingly true.
