Sara looking for peace and safety after her passion nearly costs her her life.
Sara opened the door of her F150 and stepped down. As she walked towards the cabin, she felt a slight breeze blowing on her face. Leaves were already starting to fall from the trees. There was an oak tree with numerous acorns all over the ground. Some were cracked open, most likely from the squirrels and there were some in the driveway, where they had probably been crunched by human shoes.
Sara put the key into the lock and opened the door.
As she stepped into the cabin, she noticed that it was spacious and had a fireplace with two overstuffed chairs facing it. Through a door, she found the kitchen and it had a wood/gas stove. Attached to the kitchen wa an alcove with a window level with the table. she could take her meals there and watch the scenery, as it was facing the wooded area.
Finding the stairs that hed to the second floor, she found two bedrooms. One, larger with a waterbed and the second bedroom had an old fashioned bed. The bathroom was between the bedrooms and was quite roomy and had a shower/tub combination, a double sink with a large mirror above them.
There was a deck out back where she could get some good pictures with her camera. The cabin was far enough away from the main road, and unless you were really looking you would not find it. She notice how quiet the surrounds were.
It was perfect, she thought.
Sara never stayed in one place for very long. She couldn't afford to. Her life depended on it. Her Uncle Darrin had arranged that she could use the cabin for however long she needed it. He had connections and he would do anything to protect his niece. The cabin belonged to someone who owed him his life. He had also arranged to have undercover agents in different locations around the area surrounding the cabin.
The trees made it a little dark in the cabin, so she turned a few lights on. She didn't need anyone stopping or noticing any lights there, at least not yet She wasn't ready for any questions from anyone. her Uncle had told her that the closest neighbor lived about a half a mile away. he didn't tell her that most of them were agents and would be looking out for her, he didn't want her to worry.
Deciding to get a few things from her truck, she made herself a quickmeal and picked the bedrooom with the waterbed. exhausted, she crawled in-between the sheets and it didn't take her long to fall asleep.
The next morning, after showering and eating a quick breakfast, she drove back into town and stopped at a small grocery store. She bought enough groceries to last her for two weeks.
Once back at the cabin, she quickly put away the groceries. it was time to explore the area outside. She couldn't wait.

Stepping out onto the front deck, she noticed that the cabin had a lamp outside of the door. She hadn't noticed it before. Sara spent the day, camera in hand, binoculars around her neck, roaming around and behind the cabin. She had her notepad and pencils in her backpack along with her camera that hung around her neck. She wanted to become familiar with the area.
The day went by quickly and Sara had only stopped for short periods of time to grab a bite to eat. She had packed a lunch and had put it in her back pack along with some water..
Returning back to the cabin, Sara set up her laptop computer that evening and unpacked a few boxes that she had brought in from the bed of the truck. There was a small oak bookcase along one side of the wall which she quickly filled up. It was slowly starting to fill like home Sara decided to set up the fireplace and went outside to get some wood that was in the bin near the door.
After getting the fireplace set up, she grabbed one of her books and settled into one of the overstuffed chairs that was near the fireplace and started to read. Within minutes, Sara became sleepy and decided to shut the fireplace down and head to bed. Pulling back the covers and sliding into bed, she quickly fell asleep.
Sara awakened to squirrels chattering loudly, and running across the roof of the cabin. After laying there for a few minutes to get her bearing, she quickly took a shower and dressed as it was cool in the cabin. She would turn on the electric heat for now and use the fireplace later when she knew that she was going to be in the cabin.
Sara put on the coffeepot that she had unpacked the night before, and as she was waiting for it to brew, she sat down at the table to eat some breakfast. As she was setting her dishes into the kitchen sink, she heard a noise outside. She pulled aside the curtain to look out the window and saw a brown Bronco pulling in behind her truck.
Sara had a rifle in her pickup truck, but had not yet brought it inside. It was still in the gun rack. However, she did have a Smith & Wesson that she had tucked into the back of her pants.

He had also arranged to have undercover agents in different locations around the area surrounding the cabin. Kevin stopped the Bronco behind the F150 and stepped out. He felt bad that he hadn't been over to check on the new neighbor. Chad Devlin had stopped and told him there was someone new there, would he please check on her several times a week as he was going to be out of town.
Chad had told him that Sara Conlon wasn't her real name and that photography and art was her passion. It was this passion that had forced her to hide out.
Sara opened her door and stepped down off of the deck. As she walked towards the
