Beautiful. You led me right through the story and the ending was not what I was expecting. It was a lesson for the grandchildren from the grandmother, the ways of the world and a gentler way of showing the hunting and eating of what nature provides.

A well written story and one that children can understand.

I love this! Past, present and future. Talking about being single, being married, and losing her man to the war and being alone in the end.

Keep up the good work.

I do ask, why is she "A sorry looking" lady?

I suggest using "A sad looking" lady?

I agree. To much of the holidays are spent on "whats in it for me" type attitude. The traditional holidays are more spent in presents instead of recognizing what the holiday actually was meant for. Good job.
