"Why would you cut yourself?" Possible Trigger warning. Not written by experience
One cut for the false hope
One cut for the fear
And just one more for the father she wishes were here
Three marks on her skin to help her cope

One cut for the pleasure
One cut for the pain
And just one more for the blood to wash away rain
Six little lines, lined up to measure

One cut for the release
One cut for the fight
And just one more to stand through the night
Nine ugly scars to stand on her feet

One cut for the shame
One cut for the memory
And just one more for faded glory
Two rows of six because of the blame
