A love sonnet.
Can common things contain a Rainbow Bright?
  As if mere white was white, but All Else, too
  was lit and glowed within, just out of sight?
  This Hidden Color's in your eyes of blue.
As if the common curvings of your smile
  that's glimpsed so often in a random face
  has found in you the countenance worthwhile
  and shines its Secret Joy to find its place.
What if these sudden Depths, these Verities,
  are Truths, for only me, that shine entire
  because I'm meant to solve their mysteries?
  I long to know the substance of your Fire!
I love your face, your Soul that's shining through;
I hope my own is seen and loved by you.
