you can be happy, or you can let them take you
Sometimes at night
We wrap ourselves in blankets
Smush our faces into pillows
And dream the things we love the most
Other nights
We open up our closet doors
Let our feet hang off the edge
And hope our nightmares take us away
Because sometimes
Its easier to let your mind go
And follow your demons
Into the dark
Than to fight them off
Without a single sword
And a weak soul
