This mother has a child with a problem.
Autism
No smile
on one so young.
My child seems different.
Why won’t he talk or look at me?
I’m scared.


This is a cinquain form of poetry. It has 22 syllables arranged in a pattern.
Line one: 2 syllables
Line two: 4 syllables
Line three: 6 syllables
Line four: 8 syllables
Line five: 2 syllables
It does not have to rhyme.
