What I felt during my time spent with some severe anxiety issues.
I hide from my memories
My past misdeeds and failures
When I try to sleep at night
They are all I see

My mind I cannot shut it off
Thoughts racing and racing
Could I not just dream?
Instead of sweat and think

Constant trains in my head
Never reaching a destination
I check the clock again
And again

Why can’t I sleep?
Is it too much to ask?
My memories are demons
No one can escape their past
