Some we encounter make a tremendous impact on our lives in such a short amount of time
Breathtaking, stary eyes filled with hope and reassurance
A sentiment soon taunted by your untimely perish
Discomfort soon courses through each of my veins like a steady drum

Soul stained by the chaotic misfortunes of the world
Though you keep your feet
Refusing to fall
Sights set ahead on the hopeful bliss of a better day

Back in the pit of my mind
Embedded in the walls of my thoughts
Grim memories dart back and forth
Gradually unraveling each delicate thread from the inside out

Empty once again
Coerced to roam the desolate highway littered with dispirited souls
But I will break free
It's in my nature
And soon you will be
Nothing but a distant memory
