A poem where the Author asks the audience if they want to feel what she feels everyday.
You say this

Or that

But do you understand

That it beats down on me

Like a rainstorm

Except a rainstorm doesn't hurt

Unlike this

Don’t you know?

That words are more powerful than actions

Do you know that it hurts?

Even if I don’t show it

It beats down

On me like a baseball bat

And here’s the newsflash

It’s not the greatest feeling

Next time maybe I will say it back

You’ll see the charade I put up with all the time

And you’ll find that it hurts you

Just as it hurts me
